The Scissors are a weapon in Until Dawn. They can be found by Ashley in Chapter 6 while she is in the lodge's basement.

Overview

While looking for Sam with Chris, Ashley can come across a pair of clean scissors and stick them in her back pocket.

Later in this same chapter, the Psycho will sneak up behind Ashley and Chris, knocking Chris out with gas. If Ashley has the scissors, she receives the option to stab the Psycho with them. If she does so, he will scream in pain and rage, then punch Ashley in the face, knocking her out.

This action has a few results. It changes the appearance of two characters. Ashley will have a black eye for the rest of the game, and Chris will comment on it while the two are stuck in the saw trap. The second character whose appearance is affected is Josh. Because he is the Psycho, he will have a visible bloodstain on his shoulder for the rest of the game. This event will also cause Chris to later chastise Josh for hitting a girl. Chris will then punch Josh in the face.

This item is relevant to earning the trophy "The Psycho Path." This trophy can be achieved by either stabbing the Psycho with the scissors, or hitting him with the baseball bat as Sam.

Location

After the "ghost" pops out, go to the right and you will find the scissors underneath the Lightbulb Catalogue.
